A Sculpture Retreat and Workshop on the Greek Island of Spetses, Presented by Studio Scribano

Studio Scribano is delighted to present an immersive, seven day sculpture retreat, held in a spacious villa on the Greek island of Spetses. Attendees of all levels are invited to spend the week cultivating their sculpture practice with daily courses, presentations, discussions, and tutored life-sculpture workshops.
  
The course is designed for attendees to enrich—or discover—their practice through focused studio time, communal meals, and engaging with the surrounding area. Hiking and biking trails encircle the island, which is full of woodland, wildflowers, olive groves, and quiet swimming coves. Throughout  programme, we aim to cultivate a strong community, both among our attendees and with the wonderful people of Spetses. 
 
Breakfasts and dinners are included, prepared daily by our in-house chef or hosted at several local restaurants. Wine and refreshments are provided as well. Lunches are open for attendees to explore the town’s local tavernas, bakeries, and seaside restaurants.

At the end of the course, artists will have the opportunity to work with a local foundry and have finished works cast in bronze, then shipped back to their desired location. Casting & shipping costs are covered by the artist. Clay hardening mediums and techniques will be provided by Studio Scribano.
